Talented local Hucklebuck is yet to appear on course competitively this year but has maintained status as outright favourite in 2015 Goodwood betting markets; currently available at a quote of $4.60 with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au after drawing barrier 3.

Finishing outside the first three only three times through a total of thirteen career starts to date, the Elvstroem gelding undoubtedly found career-best form to date through the Spring Carnival; taking out each of the Listed Durbridge Stakes (1200m) and Group 3 Yellowglen Stakes (1400m) before breaking through for a maiden win at the highest level in the Group 1 Emirates Stakes (1600m).

Having taken out a strong barrier trial on course in April, Hucklebuck will have to overcome a race-high 58.5kgs but still offers great value for money at current Goodwood Handicap odds.

Perth raider Black Heart Bart has so far received the greatest market share of bets for success in the 2015 Goodwood Handicap; cutting in from an opening quote of $5.50 to register as clear $4.80 market mover.

Black Heart Bart has won seven of his 18 career starts so far and finished in the minors a further seven times.

Unlucky to miss his major summer target; the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) with a minor ailment, the Blackfriars gelding responded well in taking out his next two starts with ease, including the Listed WA Stakes (1400m).

Undefeated in 2015, Black Heart Bart has won each of the Listed Summer Scorcher (1000m), Listed Cyril Flower Stakes (1200m), Listed Pinjarra Classic (1300m) and Listed Bunbury Stakes (1400m); the most recent with a race-high 61kgs.

Allocated the central barrier 7 and charged with just 55.5kgs, Black Heart Bart is more than worth consideration for a Goodwood Handicap first three bet.

Lucky Hussler broke through for a maiden Group 1 victory first-up this time but will need some luck in running from barrier 11.

Unable to post much of a consistent run of form before transferring to the care of Darren Weir following his 2014 winter preparation, the Husson gelding won the Group 3 Moonga Stakes (1400m) most notably in spring before running a close second to Hucklebuck in the Emirates Stakes.

Returning this time for success in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m), Lucky Hussler has been confirmed to be partnered by Glen Boss in The Goodwood and remains a live chance for success.
